The Site
Camping du Pylone
Just a short walk from the site
entrance to the beach and two miles by bus or train from the
centre of Antibes with its many attractions, and with good road
and rail links, Camping du Pylone is excellently situated. The
site offers good facilities and enjoys a reputation as being
one of the best on the Cote d'Azur.
Shops and facilities on site include supermarket, baker, fruit
and vegetable shop, pizzeria, newsagents, money exchange, security
boxes and launderette.
For sport or leisure enthusiasts, there is a disco and games
area, large park with children's play area and football pitch,
beach volleyball, water sports (high season only) and freshwater
fishing in the river. There is an attractive sun terrace and
large pool area (free entrance in low season but a fee charged
in July and August.) Although the beach close to site is stony,
it is only a short bus or train ride to the sandy beaches at
nearby Antibes and Juan les Pins.
The Resort
Perfectly situated in the heart
of the Côte d'Azur
This delightful resort, with its
historic port and traditional town is ideally placed for exploring
the Cote d'Azur and Italian Riviera.
Antibes is 3 towns in one! Experience a real sense of stepping
back in time by exploring the narrow streets in the old walled
town. Here you will find the market and many traditional little
shops and cafes. The lure of the port is also irresistible -
wander around the quays and see the lovely yachts. Plus the
town of Antibes offers excellent shopping and many restaurants
and cafe-bars where you can sit outside enjoying a drink watching
life go by.
The famous resorts of Cannes, Juan les Pins, Nice, Monte Carlo,
Menton together with Antibes itself, are easily accessible by
the excellent local bus and train services. You can also visit,
by train, the resorts of Ventimiglia, San Remo, Diana Marina
and Alassio on the Italian Riviera.
Finally don't be put off by thinking the Cote d'Azur is expensive.
In Antibes and the many other resorts, there are dozens of little
bars, cafés and restaurants offering very reasonably
priced drinks, snacks and meals.
